# Connect using direct connection

Step-by-step process for joining a Fika server.

### Start `SPT.Launcher`

### Configure server IP in `SPT Launcher`

Ask the server host to provide their <mark style="color:$warning;">external IP address</mark>.

Click `Add New Server`

Give the server a name and enter the host's IP address in the address section.
